Registered Massage Therapists in British Columbia have the highest educational standards in North America. To become an RMT in BC students complete a minimum of 3000 hours training over three years at an accredited college. Studies include health sciences - extensive anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology, and neuroanatomy courses. Clinical sciences such as orthopedics, orthopathology, hydrotherapy, and therapeutic exercises. All RMT’s must successfully complete the BC board registration exams set by the College of Massage Therapists, and remain current by taking post graduate studies.
